It was the first week of our Summer Program 2024 last week. The theme of this program is France and Summer Olympics !
Their favorite activity was cooking “ratatouille”. The elder students went shopping to buy eggplants, bell peppers, zucchini and consommé soup, then all the students cut the vegetables into pieces. They were like “vegetable-cutting machines”!
Then we cooked the ratatouille for about an hour. Some of their parents had said, “They might not eat vegetable soup”, however some children ate several bowls of our homemade ratatouille! They said, “It’s delicious!”
On Thursday, we looked at Monet’s and Van Gogh’s paintings and decided to try creating some impressionist art ourselves.
The girls liked Van Gogh’s sunflower picture and the boys liked his starry night painting. They did a great job recreating those and now our school looks like a museum!
