This week, we started learning about and enjoying Halloween. When the students saw our Halloween decorations, they became very excited about the holiday. They already love our Halloween songs and dances. We started by painting a huge box for making our haunted house. The students mixed many paint colors to make a “spooky” color!
We gave them paint brushes and rollers, however they all soon used their hands to paint and enjoy the texture. They even painted their arms and some of them pretended to be a monster!
We also made spiders! First we counted how many legs a spider has and learned a spider has eight legs. The Penguin Class students counted 1 to 8 legs and stuck them on paper to make a spider. The Starfish Class worked to match numbers 1 to 8. And The Dolphin Class students discussed “Is a spider an insect?”
