The theme of January was Japanese culture. all the students did “kakizome”.
The Seal Class students rubbed an ink stick to make “sumi” (black ink) and all the students enjoyed writing on “shikishi” paper with real black ink (sumi).
They worked carefully and touched the “suzuri” (ink stone) with the special paint brush. The Seal Class wrote ”龍” in kanji. They did a great job!
